Overview

WordGarden: Sight Words is an iPad app for early readers (Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grade 1). The app is built for offline use, privacy, and parent control.

Data We Collect (App)

The app stores learning progress, learner profiles, and settings locally on your iPad so the app can function. This app data stays on-device.

Data We Do Not Collect (App)

• No analytics.
• No tracking.
• No ads and no behavioural advertising.
• No accounts and no sign-in.
• No third-party SDKs collecting user data.

Offline Use & Network Requests

WordGarden works fully offline after install. During normal app operation, the app does not make network calls.

Children's Privacy

WordGarden is designed for children and families. The app does not track children, does not profile children, and does not include behavioural advertising.

Local Storage & Learner Profiles

All learner data is stored locally on the iPad. The app supports multiple learner profiles, and each profile is stored locally. Parent controls are gated by device authentication (Passcode only).

Exports (PDF/CSV)

PDF and CSV exports are generated on-device. Exports are shared only when a parent explicitly initiates sharing through the iOS share sheet.

Custom Word Packs Import

Custom word packs (.json/.csv) are imported from local files selected by the parent. This is local file import only.

Contact us at support-wg@danushkastanley.com. Email messages are handled by your email provider and are not stored inside the app.

Website Data (only for the website, separated from app)

This website does not include analytics scripts or tracking pixels. The hosting platform can keep standard access logs (for example: IP address, requested URL, timestamp, and user agent) for security and operations. These logs are website-level only and are separate from app data.

We update this policy when product behavior changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
